Hi @waderyan, I don't know... I have absolutely no experience with VS Code Extension publishing / updates :) if you would merge these PRs and publish new version, I could meantime look into it and see if I can handle this myself next time maybe |

It wouldn't be to hard to allow for more customisation here. For free we have access to commit hash, committer name, committer email, commit timestamp, and committer timestamp. Building a function that replaces ${commit.email} (for example) in the status bar would be more future-proof. |

Change based on previous pull request, user now can easily configure status bar / popup message based on util.format function - fixed position of parameters :(
