## Installing

**Note:** The installer linked below will not work on **Pi 4**. Please use the pi4 branch here - https://github.com/pimoroni/hyperpixel/tree/pi4 .

In all cases, you will need to use the **legacy/Buster flavour of Raspberry Pi OS** (find it under 'Raspberry Pi OS (other)' in Raspberry Pi Imager). Bullseye and subsequent versions of Pi OS are not supported.

The Bullseye version of Raspbian OS can be made to work with [small tweaks]{https://github.com/pimoroni/hyperpixel/issues/54}; [apparently there were some changes to drivers from the Buster-version to the Bullseye-version of Raspbian OS]{https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=324640}. No word yet if those tweaks will work with the Bookworm version of Raspbian OS. Please note that [Buster's End OOf Life is scheduled for June 30, 2024]{https://wiki.debian.org/LTS}.
