This is a very simple failing test for mybatis#3562.
Essentially reverting the condition back to the 3.5.x version. Plus, a minor refactoring (removed an unused method arg).

This is a very simple failing test for #3562.
We should pull this into the code base once the bug is fixed to guard against future regressions.
