This pull request updates the project to use React 18, replacing the deprecated lolex package with @sinonjs/fake-timers for timer mocks.
All related tests have been updated and fixed to work correctly with the new setup.
Additionally, the fake timers implementation has been standardized across the codebase to improve reliability and maintainability.
