I will confirm these alongside other potential changes to numpy version 2.0 to maintain a degree of backward compatibility. I expect to maintain releases unti long-term-support releases of Python expire (currently 3.8.20). Currently numpy is supported up to 3.9 but there are downstream affects on other libraries including those using bidings such as PyClipr.
