Minified west.yml for CI/CD broke from 3.7 to 4.2

Hi, we run CI/CD tests for our library and examples of using it, Zephyr among them.
To decimate run time, I wrote a script based on Mike Farah's YQ to reduce west.yml to only those modules we actually need. This has been working fine with 3.7-branch.
We're adding 4.2.0 support, and even though tests run fine with the whole set of modules, minimizing them is not working as before. When using the same list of modules, our examples fail to build because cmsis_core.h can't be found.
The cmsis module is been included, looks like something triggering proper paths is missing from my selection; probably due to the choice between cmsis and cmsis_6 (thinking out loud).
This is the minifying script in our Makefile:

The end result is a recreated west.yml with self, defaults, remotes, group-filter, but projects only includes:

• cmsis
• hal_stm32
• mbedtls
• mcuboot
• picolibc

This really decimates the total test time, can you please help with maintaining this script doing its job ?

The first observed build error is:
