Quick-Search Combo Boxes

To quickly find the item in a combo box you are looking for, start to type in the name of it while the dropdown is open.

Auto-Syncing GameCube Saves

If you happen to be using Dolphin Emulator to play Colosseum, XD, or Pokémon Box R&S then you may be aware that the memory card format is clunky and a pain to use. You may not be aware that there is a better option that allows easier syncing with a file that Trigger's PC can read without having to import or export.

  • Goto Config > GameCube > Slot A and select GCI Folder in the dropdown.
  • From here goto Documents/Dolphin Emulator/GC/"your locality" and create a folder called Card A.
  • Now any saves stored in here will be loaded from and saved over by Dolphin instead of using the raw memory card file. Example
  • Now all you need to do is add these saves to Trigger's PC and they will automatically both be up to date without any extra work.

Dropbox Syncing

If you're using a mobile emulator like GBA4iOS then you can take full advantage of the feature to sync saves to Dropbox. If you download the Dropbox application for Windows then you can add saves to Trigger's PC from the Dropbox folder on your computer. That way any changes made in-game or in-tool will automatically be synced to your emulator and computer.

Dropbox Syncing GameCube Games

For the most part this would be an easy task but the problem is that it makes it difficult if you still want to play these games while having them sync. There is a work around but it requires the creation of Symbolic Links using a special program or the Windows Command Prompt to execute. You will also need administrative privileges.

See this Guide for information on how to create Symbolic Links.

  • Put the desired GameCube save in your Dropbox folder where you want it to be stored.
  • Create a symbolic link and store it in the Card A folder referenced in the Auto-Syncing GameCube Saves section.
  • Now whenever you save the game from Dolphin it will alert Dropbox to sync the updated file.
  • In Trigger's PC add the game stored in your Dropbox folder.
  • Now if you want to have multiple GameCube games ready to play here's what you do.
  • Create symbolic links of each game that you have and store them in a folder somewhere. They can each be named whatever you want.
  • Whenever you want to play one of your games, move the game in that folder to the Card A folder and remove any other saves of the same game type from it.
  • Now because Trigger's PC is referencing the files stored in Dropbox, you can always have all of your GameCube games added without having to change anything.

Keep Missing Save Files

(This feature will be coming in the next update)

If you often load saves off of SD Cards that are not always connected to the computer, you can activate the Keep Missing Save Files option that will allow missing saves to stay hidden in Trigger's PC instead of removing them for not being present.
