ggparty to be removed from CRAN

Hi there. I just submitted this issue on the package ggparty which is scheduled to be removed from CRAN martin-borkovec/ggparty#51. The last commit in ggparty was submitted 6 years ago, I see that most of the co-authors are also ggplot2 authors, that's why I am replicating the issue here. I would like to know if you are aware of this and whether is there any plan to resubmit the package. Best regards.

Usually when authors are listed as role = "ctb" that means they didn't actually contribute to the package. It's just that the package authors copied some of their code. I don't like that CRAN does it this way, because there are numerous packages where I'm listed as an author and I don't even know they exist. ggparty is one of them. I had never heard of it.

I assume none of the ggplot2 authors actually had any involvement with the package, since we're all listed with the same role. So you'd have to ask the question one of the two authors that are listed as "aut" and have an email address.

I'm closing this issue since this is not a ggplot2 question.
