How to add non-blog-post pages? And how to customize footer?

I love the theme, thank you for your work on it!

I want to add some extra pages to the site, like an "About" and "Contact" page. I don't want these to appear in the Posts list, I want them to appear in the header as top-level pages. Is that possible with this theme?

You will need to create a layout in the _layouts first of all then follow:

• Create standalone .md files with layout: page and set custom permalinks.
• Add navigation links either via _data/navigation.yml or directly in _includes/header.html.
• Customize the footer in _includes/footer.html.
