I remember this was the "YouTube music app" something anyway for now it seems the new name is only on the repo because the build failed

Huh, rather confusing. The MacOS brew instructions here point at a dead link. Download seems to work though.

i remember this too! I've been using this for so long and it was one of my first open source projects I contributed to. Must've been a copyright thing

If you dig around the issues, you'll find a new logo suggestion for the flathub app store.

That logo suggestion is designed specifically for Linux, since it includes the iconic tux.

So if we were going to have platform specific logos, I suggested we could temporarily switch to a pear for macos and smth else for windows.

Jellybrick liked the pear name, so he chose it as a placeholder until we figure out a proper name.

But yes, I did in fact think of pear due to iCarly.
