Description
Hi Pascal,
I have purchased a new Jumper T12 Max and an iRX4 for the JR bay. I have successfully bound the module to many receivers without a problem. My query is regarding the output power and therefore the range. Below are some measurements I have taken with a power meter. They are not direct measurement but antenna to antenna.
HR36 protocol bound to a quad : iRX4 -12.74 dBm
HR36 controller outputs -9.10 dBm
Kyosho protocol sub Hype not bound : 20 dBm
FrSky L protocol sub LR12 not bound : 22 dBm
DSM protocol sub X 1F bound to S603 receiver : -9.70 dBm
FlSky2A protocol sub PWM,SBUS bound to FS-iA6B : -0.40 dBm
FrSky D protocol sub D8 not bound : 8.70 dBm
FrSky X protocol sub D16 not bound : 5 dBm
FlySky protocol sub Std not bound : 0.55 dBm
FlySky protocol sub CX20 not bound : 1.80 dBm
Futaba protocol sub SFHSS not bound : 2.70 dBm
As you can see the module can put out up to 22 dBm. Is the low output with some protocols normal or is there a way to increase the output to get decent range? I am happy to send you measurements of any other protocol. My power meter is not lab equipment but gives a very good indication of power output. My radio runs EdgeTX from factory dated 06/11/2024 and the iRX4 has firmware 1.3.4.52 although I have tried many other firmware versions all with the same results.
Thank you in advance.
