Notes from today's CPC call:

It was agreed that Ben would ask the project to revert their merge so that the CPC would be able to comment. Additionally we would ask for a clearer description of the TSC composition (for example min/max size, how folks are elected).

We have a governance document for how someone acquires a role (maintainer and TSC member), and removes a role. We haven't changed it for 5 years - is the specific request to have this language moved to the charter?

What does charter language for min/max membership look like? Since a charter couldn't force someone to stay on a committee to fulfill the min requirement, I'm curious how this would be written.

Is this being project being reviewed for At-Large or Impact status?

Out of curiosity, will the other open vis projects (geoda and cosmos) that recently joined OpenJS be asked to revise to their charters as well? We were all sharing drafts with each other since we're simultaneously working through foundation onboarding.

I can delete the charter from our repo and open a new PR for comments. Any changes will need the TSC approval again anyways, and we use PR approvals to record the vote.

We're sorry that the process is still a little messy. We're committed to improving it. We've just introduced today a new issue template to make it easier to request charter reviews. We're also looking at improving the defaults in the charter template (see our discussion in #1607). We've planned our working session next week on the topic. It would be great if you could join it.

The issues that were raised was that there was no mention of a governing body's structure in your charter (which appart from that was super clear). Fixing this probably requires moving some content that's elsewhere back into the charter.

Please feel free to provide feedback and we'll incorporate changes. Our governance has been very stable for years, so I don't anticipate issues moving basic body structure from the governance doc to the charter, with guidance.
