Does vue-markdown sanitize the input before rendering HTML?

I was wondering if Vue-Markdown sanitized a given markdown input before outputting HTML on a webpage?

A bit of a necropost, but vue-markdown does not sanitize nor escape inputs before outputting HTML. This is a bit different from the underlying library markdown-it (#141) which escapes them by default. It is advisable for user to provide their own sanitizer (e.g., dompurify) if HTML rendering functionality is wanted.
