Custom Tool / Validation

Hi there,

I want to create a search / replace tool as custom tool in nova. I created a custom tool and added a create and a store method.

This is the current (debug) version of my store method:

	public function store(NovaRequest $request)
	{
		$attributes = $request->validate([
			'search'  => ['required', 'max:255'],
			'replace' => ['required', 'max:255'],
		]);

		return response()->json([
			'status' => 'ok',
		]);
	}

My problem is, if 'search' or 'replace' is empty, so that the validation fails, a 500 response is provided - without any additional information. If 'search' and 'replace' is set and shorter than 255 chars, the response is fine and the json is shown.

I have no idea, what causes this 500 error and how to fix it. There is no exception, no log entry, nothing - only the 500 error.

Maybe someone has an idea?

It seems, that this problem occurs, when I use Inertias useForm. Is Inertias form helper not supported? Or can I somehow get it supported by nova?

When I call

Nova.request().post("/nova-vendor/my-tool/my-route", form.data());

The request is being performed, but I have to handle the validation errors myself. That's why I would prefer to use useForm.

Found a solution, i have to use Nova.form instead of useForm.
