Here are some changes I've made to the Leiningen API - these functions may or may not be of use to you - but you can pass in a list of group/artifacts and it will not grab those or its transitive dependencies. This works a little better than just filtering as you don't have to worry about transitive dependencies.
Hopefully this helps in some way - I think it just needs to be connected to the IDEA code now.
