Howie/agents v2 (#190)
Starting on November 18, 2025, we will introduce the azure-ai-projects 2.0.0b2 SDK. Because this release now includes agent-related capabilities, it will serve as the unified replacement for both azure-ai-projects 1.x.x and azure-ai-agents 1.x.x. Agents created with azure-ai-agents 1.x.x or through earlier versions of the Foundry UI are managed by different back-end services and use a different version ID format. As a result, existing agents will not be compatible with the new Foundry UI or with azure-ai-projects ≥ 2.0.0b2. To continue supporting older project and agent SDK versions, this repository provides a dedicated branch named foundry-project-agents-classic, which now serves as the primary development branch for legacy environments. If you are maintaining or extending existing solutions, you should rebase your work from this branch rather than from main.
